Kirk W. Michel
President

Mr. Michel is President, founder of KEMA Advisors, Inc. Mr. Michel has significant experience as an Investment Banker and Commercial Banker to small to medium-sized companies, Fortune 100 corporations, real estate developers, as well as state and federal governments and governmental agencies. During his career, Mr. Michel has (i) spearheaded due diligence and acquisitions teams while assisting corporations to complete the acquisition of several manufacturing and service companies (ii) advised, managed and/or structured bank and public debt transactions, which total in excess of $6 billion and (iii) assisted companies, State and Federal agencies by preparing business plans and developing financing models which included projections of sales, expenses, cash, balance sheet, and capital structure.

Previously, Mr. Michel was employed as a senior officer by Bankers Trust Company and Manufacturers Hanover Securities Corporation.

Mr. Michel holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University. Additionally, Mr. Michel maintains the following NASD Licenses; General Securities Principal (Series 24), Municipal Securities Principal (Series 53), General Securities Representative (Series 7) and Uniform Securities Agent State Law (Series 63). Mr. Michel serves on the Board of several private companies as well as the Conservation Trust for North Carolina and Hoop Dreams Basketball Academy.

Ms. Michel has significant experience in economic development, real estate and investment banking. Ms. Michel most recently served as Vice President, Community Revitalization of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, as well as President of the National Trust Loan Fund, its CDFI subsidiary. She served as Vice President for CIBC Oppenheimer in New York, NY, where she was responsible for commercial real estate finance, underwriting and syndication. Ms. Michel has worked with some of the nation's largest real estate developers and has been responsible for the origination, restructuring and syndication of over $3 billion in commercial real estate loans.

As Deputy Commissioner for New York City's Department of Housing Preservation & Development, Ms. Michel provided policy and strategic planning advice to the Commissioner on matters regarding the disposition of vacant city-owned properties, privatization of agency functions and management of a $250 million capital budget. Accomplishments include (i) maintaining annual production of 13,000 units of affordable housing; (ii) increasing leverage of New York City's capital funds by 28.7% and (iii) privatizing the origination and underwriting of multi-family loans.

Ms. Michel holds a Masters in Architecture from the University of California, Berkley and and a BA in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Trust Community Investment Corporation. Ms. Michel is a former board member of the Orange County Economic Development Commission, the Hillsborough Tourism Board, the Historic Hillsborough Commission, and the Hillsborough Preservation Fund.
